Technique Research

We have researched a lot of information about different genre movies before deciding what we wanted in our two minutes opening sequence. To do this we have used a range of resources from primary and secondary research including internet, magazines, books etc in order to find out as much as we could to include the information that we found in our movie so it will make sense and so it looks interesting.

  • Internet - we looked at specific industry websites to see what films they produced and distributed where they had in detail, information about the film. Another part of the internet in which we choose to carry out our research was Google.com, this is because this is a well known search engine which would be able to supply us with relevant information that we were able to use also some of the information were taken from the Wikipedia where we found allot of useful information.
  • Magazines - Such as the 'Hollywood Reporter' had a load of resources that we found relevant to our movie product. It contained articles that were interesting in explaining certain areas such as distribution industries and any other background information that was useful for our movie.
  • Books - We went to the BFI (Tottenham) where we could have a look at a number of books that had information about the many different genres. This made it easy to collect research that we could use in order to help us make a decision of what we would like our movie to be the there was a vast amount to select to read through making sure we got enough information which we could then apply to picking out what genre would be the best to use.
